Tune in at 1:30 this afternoon (EST) on 106.7 The Fan as I discuss the draft, Peyton Manning and other ludicrous offseason storylines with Danny Rouhier.
I will try to sum up all of your opinions on these matters in a way that makes it sound like everything was my idea.

I listen to 106.7 on the internet, at my desk, so I will tune in…

I'll be back in Phoenix next month by the way
so if Tomaso’s is a bad idea, tell me what bar we are drinking at. You are still out there right?
Ken Meringolo - January 21, 2012
Absolutely
Depends on your timetable? Plenty of microbreweries in the area, oddly enough…when are you in town?
Bullet Nation in Exile - January 25, 2012
sigh...
just heard the interview….
hang my head…
jgibbsfan1 - January 21, 2012
hahahaha...I got to tout my trade down plan
i think it’s unanimous—nobody likes it. haha
Ken Meringolo - January 21, 2012
hey, if you get a venue such as that...
I can’t blame you at all. All I know is half of the bloggers here at HH promote the trade up strategy, we just didn’t get an invitation to go on live radio….
jgibbsfan1 - January 21, 2012
You'll be invited to beat me up on the air soon enough
Ken Meringolo - January 21, 2012
Apparantly I'm not allowed to listen live
in this country, will it be online anywhere at a later date?
UkRedskin - January 21, 2012
How did it go?
I didn’t get a chance to break away from what I’m doing to listen in.
mbedner - January 21, 2012
I am glad...I didn't want you to be listening to me while you were in the middle of doing that

Ken
Heard the whole thing. Nice job. Not sure why you went off on Peyton Manning tangent when asked about Matt Flynn, but I’m assuming you had rehearsed some and that question threw you off perhaps? Otherwise nicely done. If we don’t get Matt Flynn, I’m starting to believe we should at least consider trading up for luck or RGIII. Of course we’d have to get a reasonable price to make it worth it, but that prices is yet unknown. Because the #6 pick is going to be one of the elite players in this draft, we may get a fairly decent price to move up.

There was an off-the-air cue to talk about Peyton
And Matt Flynn would seem Miami-bound.
Ken Meringolo - January 21, 2012
Remember
Us listeners are not privy to “off-air cues” so it sounded like you were talking about peyton manning when specifically asked about Matt Flynn. Perhaps a transition from from Matt Flynn to Peyton manning would have been in order. Just trying to give you some helpful criticism.
Kurtstack - January 22, 2012
However
If you were auditioning to be a politician, then answering a completely different question than asked would be a major +
Kurtstack - January 22, 2012
Matt Flynn
Remember as long as Snyder has his pen and checkbook in hand, any free agent is a possibility here. I wouldn’t be so quick to discount the Flynn possibility.
Kurtstack - January 22, 2012
I would not bemoan a trade up
I just think that we should be targeting Luck as much as Griffin. I would still prefer a trade down obviously but I am not willing to fight to the death about it. As opposed to drafting a starting tackle in this draft, which I am ready to fight to the death about.
Ken Meringolo - January 21, 2012
I agree Ken.
If you’re going to go all in for Griffin then why not go all in for Luck? The difference wouldn’t be astronomical.
However, I do disagree about drafting a tackle. Willie Smith looks promising but needs to polish up his game,.. he could be a possible starter at RT opposite of Trent or vice-versa. Drafting #6 with that position wouldn’t be of much value in my opinion. Guard would make more sense to me if we were going to go offensive line. I would rather pick a CB or WR… someone who will make an immediate difference with ball contact.

IF we could not trade up or down.
