Wild card football. When will we get one of these? Over/under 2016...what do you got? Also, below are the SB Nation blogs for each team...check em out.
Well I'm not pulling for Houston but I think they have the edge
I think that game comes down to rushing yards and Houston wins in that department. I’m picking the Lions over the Saints too, because I get the feeling the Lions defense is better than New Orleans’. Also, that “Who dat” crap has gotten on my nerves, and they’ve had their championship recently. They need to step aside for the Lions now.
Dalton has been used as so many examples of a 2nd round gem.
Of course he is a rookie, but he’s had a full year with talent around him. I don’t know if yesterday was a bad game or he was just exposed to be truly secondary talent. He made several very bad throws and decisions. He took huge sacks by retreating instead of eating the seven yard loss. I feel much more weary of the draft a QB in the 2nd argument.
Cuz it seems as if his personality would have been abrasive with snyder et. Al, but he would have been the best to continue on gibbs momentum while adapting to the evolution of the nfl
I think he was entirely overwhelmed here in DC, and I personally think blache didn’t like him. But apparently flacco faught for him when he was QB coach of the ravens. He might have had a chance to be sucessful if he was coached better ha

Do not include the blog of the Cincinnati Bengals, just two links to the “Canal Street Chronicles”.
ripST - January 7, 2012
Kevin is a closet Saints fan.
irishgoon - January 7, 2012
Is it too late for me to change to Houston?
UkRedskin - January 7, 2012
NO TEXAS TEAMS.....bloody hell
irishgoon - January 7, 2012
I just realized the TEXANS are playing the BENGALS.
The Redskins are at home. Sigh, I’ll just watch the Jersey Shore until the games come on.

willster - January 7, 2012
who do the redskins play this weekend?
Elaw6 - January 7, 2012
Cincinatti is going to demolish the Texans
Elaw6 - January 7, 2012
N.O. is favored by 11
Anyone else think the Lions might win this game?
Elaw6 - January 7, 2012
Washington Sports = Depressing
Our teams never have a shot the Capitals is our best shot and they ain’t to hot.
trueredskinm - January 7, 2012 via mobile
Actually
Looks like the Nationals might be our best shot if the Caps don’t get consistent.
:\
The Agent C 83 - January 7, 2012
Yea
But they still need a few pieces to contend.
trueredskinm - January 7, 2012 via mobile
I think I'll stick to ahoustongiant's posts for my info
He seems pretty on the ball.
Plus, with our bitches the jints in the playoffs, it’s like 2 for 1!
/sarcasm font.
Stephen Beagrie - January 7, 2012
JJ Watt snatched that thing.
Great Pick 6 for the Texans before the half.
HogHunter - January 7, 2012
put a fork in the Bengals defense - they are done
they’re gassed and shell shocked.
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
both these rookie QBs look better than our QBs
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
We basically traded
TJ Yates for Aldrick Robinson and Markus White. I like White, but I think I’d rather have the (backup) QB.
CJHutch - January 7, 2012
Dalton's arm is terrible.
He almost looks like one of those Spurrier QB’s or the late career of Mark Brunell, but he’s on the money with the short stuff.
Copious 1 - January 7, 2012

TheSportsManager - January 8, 2012
Dalton is not very good
He is solid sure but he is basically going to win as many games as a Rex is. Anyone who thinks if we had Dalton we would have our QB is silly .
Jeff Bernard - January 8, 2012
I wonder what happened with Cedric Benson
The Bengals run game was MIA when it mattered
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
Andre Johnson has looked real rusty
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
watching this texans' o-line is a thing of beauty
Hopefully we can get this kind of unity and continuity on our line next year
atark001 - January 7, 2012 via mobile
yeah, they've adjusted well to the Bengals attempt to disrupt their blocking scheme
in the first couple of series the Bengals didn’t do too bad but at this point they are totally gassed.
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
it will be interesting to see how they do against the Ravens
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
yea that's going to be a hell of a matchup
2 teams that can run the ball and stop the run
atark001 - January 7, 2012 via mobile
I hope the Lions Saints game is more interesting
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
Looks like I'll be 1-0 so far in my predictions.
iH8dallas - January 7, 2012 via mobile
grats
but before you break your arm patting yourself on the back remember that the weekend is young! :P
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
and I'm bitter because now I'm 0-1
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
Don't worry, when it comes to non-Skins football predictions I'm deadly.
Also to HH- If I get all of my picks right, can I be a writer for next weeks game?
iH8dallas - January 7, 2012 via mobile
I am too...
jgibbsfan1 - January 7, 2012
1-0...
go Saints…
jgibbsfan1 - January 7, 2012
grats to the Texans
Although I can’t get excited by their offense with Yates at the helm. He should buy steak dinners for Foster and the OL.
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
That's what we're building in Washington my man.
Just wait.
iH8dallas - January 7, 2012 via mobile
why is rodney harrison still employed as a broadcaster
Stuttering stanley
atark001 - January 7, 2012 via mobile
good question
I think the networks hire any big name player who can form a complete sentence most of the time.
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
this dude annoys the hell out of me
Stopped watching the sunday night pregame show cuz of him
atark001 - January 7, 2012 via mobile
they can show all the Faith Hill in leather they want to IMO
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
wow, that guy had 6 fumbles in the regular season and they keep giving him the ball?
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
oh, 6 fumbles for the whole team
Big break for Detriot
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
on a wholly subjective note
I was really pissed when gregg williams didn’t get the head coaching position after joe gibbs suddenly retired
atark001 - January 7, 2012 via mobile
yeah, I was too
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
not going to say it didn't surprise me
Cuz it seems as if his personality would have been abrasive with snyder et. Al, but he would have been the best to continue on gibbs momentum while adapting to the evolution of the nfl
atark001 - January 7, 2012 via mobile
There was gibbs momentum?
Jeff Bernard - January 7, 2012
I believe so
We’d made the playoffs and had a good sense of “team”. I think that’s what fueled zorn’s good first half of his first year as coach
atark001 - January 7, 2012 via mobile
yeah
we had a good team identity but we needed a QB and the OL was getting old. But still I think Williams could have done a lot more than Zorn did.
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
good point
The o-line was old, and had no depth. But I think zorns offense was enitirely too simplistic
atark001 - January 7, 2012 via mobile
and to argue againsy my own point apparently zorn was williams' choice as OC
But maybe he could have focused him and made him better
atark001 - January 7, 2012 via mobile
I'd forgotten about that
Zorn might have come around but I think he just didn’t have enough experience to be HC.
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
I wonder if the offense was simplified so the QB could handle it
I don’t know that, it’s just conjecture but you never know.
Now Zorn is in KC and their offense had tanked but I think most of that was losing Jamaal Charles.
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
I don't know
I think he was entirely overwhelmed here in DC, and I personally think blache didn’t like him. But apparently flacco faught for him when he was QB coach of the ravens. He might have had a chance to be sucessful if he was coached better ha
atark001 - January 7, 2012 via mobile
interesting
Flacco seems to have stalled in his development for sure.
aFan4Life - January 7, 2012
He misses Zorn.
LA11 - January 7, 2012
God I fucking can't stand the saints
irishgoon - January 7, 2012
I want to punch Brees in his receding hairline....
and shove Payton’s stupid visor up his ass.
irishgoon - January 7, 2012
Drew Brees is a dick.
I hate him because of the lockout nonsense, and to a lesser extent the birthmark on his face.
