Its Frustrating

that postions that seemed to be our areas of strength (TE and S) at the start of the season, have become areas of concern. Hopefully, we’ll resign Davis and he’ll get his act together. I have a feeling Cooley may not be back unless he restructures his contract. Either way, we will be in the market for a #2 TE.

Cooley has already talked with the coaching staff

And he will be back next season.

I think Cooley will be fine

It just seems like a huge waste of resources to not work with Cooley, and thus make TE another large need.

that article on fletcher's training regime was fascinating

the amount of work that pro athletes have to put into their work is staggering, 20-25 hours a week of pure strength and conditioning training, along with the mental side of the game/studying, and then practices…it takes a certain type of individual to want to dedicate themselves to such an intense life, I guess that’s what separates the all-pros vs. the one year and out athletes….and then on the coaching side, 12-18 hour days during the season sometimes…makes me temper (somewhat) any anger I might have of a loss, knowing how hard they work

Yes, kudos to them for their hardwork. But it also makes you wonder…if they are spending 12-18 hours a day preparing to play and continue to lose despite their efforts…what’s going on?

that's a good point too

like maybe their working on all the wrong things or something

Or maybe the current roster they have isn't capable of executing at the level they need them to...
true, hopefully another solid draft/free agency and we can solve that problem
The other guys on the other side of the ball are doing the same thing

Its not like our opponents are working a 2 hour day while our guys spend the whole day training

aren't they though; aren't they?

Which makes it even worse…our talent and coaching staff are beneath our opponents.

I am starting Fletcher's program!!

… as soon as I find a hill in Florida. I sure would like to see more detail of his exercises/sets/reps/weight.

what part of FL you in?

I’m living in fort myers now, but I know they got some hills around Ocala…running in the sand on the sand dunes is pretty good though, winds me haha

I'm in downtown Fort Myers.

Small world.

oh wow!

I’ve only been here ft. myers a year so far, any redskins spots around town? so far I’ve found a bears and steelers bar haha

DoyleFitness@Yahoo.com

My wife and I came across a spot with a few regular ‘Skin fans, but no dedicated bars I’ve found. Drop me an email.

for sure

one more person and we can start a wave.

Fletcher seems to be in the same boat as Darrell Green. I heard him talk last year and he said players would say “It must be nice being born that fast.” DG would respond that he practices sprinting every day of his life and still does today. He got faster b/c he practiced it when others don’t.

exactly

and didn’t he just recently run a 4.3 forty last year? my all time favorite redskin
